Vertar Shipping Terms

UK mainland orders may use the option of next working day delivery. This does not therefore include Saturdays or Bank Holidays. This applies only to orders received before 2pm, after this time we cannot make any guarantees for next day delivery, and your order may be delayed by one day. If Next Day delivery is critical, please call us to ensure we have received your order and we may be able to make alternative arrangements. This option excludes custom products, Tailor Made Car Covers for example, which are made to order and can take up to 3 weeks to deliver. Where the customer has taken advantage of a free delivery offer, the mode of delivery will be at our discretion. Therefore, if next day delivery is required, please contact us. If a customer has ordered under a free UK delivery option and is overseas or outside our Free Delivery offer area, Vertar shall hold the order until such time as additional carriage costs have been covered

Important Note: The customer is responsible for completing full order details; Name, Billing Address - as it appears on the card statement address, Delivery Address, email contact and associated telephone numbers to the fullest. This will ensure that all orders are processed in a timely manner. The details Vertar request are processed through a verification service and failure to provide complete and accurate details may cause a delay in processing and dispatching any order.

The £2.50 Economy Shipping rate is only applicable to orders comprising a total of 500ml of liquid OR light dry items such as cloths, brushes etc. It is Royal Mail, Second Class untrackable post, so we cannot advise on delivery dates and you will be notified by e-mail when it has been despatched. Only select this option if time is not of the essence. All orders not complying with the volume limit will be held pending upgrade to our normal 1-2 days service.

UK Free Shipping offers apply to Mainland UK and not the usual premium courier zones of all offshore UK islands, Northern Ireland and Highlands. For orders over 2kg, to Northern Ireland or UK Offshore Islands or Highlands our shipping rates are the Ireland rates. For especially heavy items such as AirChambers special rates apply depending on location if outside Mainland UK as defined above.

Whilst every reasonable effort shall be made to keep any delivery date, time of delivery shall not be of the essence and we shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages or expenses incurred by the Customer or any other person or company arising directly or indirectly out of any failure to meet any estimated delivery date.

Failure by the Customer to pay for any installment or delivery when due shall entitle us to withhold further deliveries and the Customer shall be liable for any costs incurred by the Supplier relating to such Goods which the Supplier is then entitled to withhold.

Delivery of the Goods shall be made to the Customer's address and the Customer shall make all arrangements necessary to take delivery of the Goods whenever they are tendered for delivery.

Goods left on request by means of Special Delivery Instructions are the responsibility of the customer and we will not be held liable for missing or stolen items.

If you are requesting delivery to a country outside of the UK, you may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information. Additionally, when ordering from Vertar, you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods.

Damaged in Transit
As internal damage cannot always be identified on delivery, the Customer must sign the drivers manifest as “unchecked”. Should any damage be identified on opening the package, Vertar must be advised within 48 hours of the exact damage. It is imperative that the Customer does not dispose of any of the packaging, as this will be required to affect a claim against the carrier. The claim will be handled by Vertar, and an arrangement will be made to collect the damaged goods and replacements will be sent.

We cannot accept any claims for damage if the above time scales are not followed.

Incorrect Goods
It is the Customers responsibility to notify us of any incorrect goods supplied within 48 hours of delivery. If the items are not as ordered, the Customer must not open the manufacturers packaging or use the item. The Customer will also be required to provide further information on what was received i.e. we may require the manufacturers part codes and a full description of what has been received. Should there be any extenuating circumstances that has prohibited the the Customer to remain within the specified time frame, resolution will be by mutual decision.

We will not accept liability for goods lost in transit unless we are notified within 5 days from the expected delivery date.

We shall accept no liability for shortages, non-deliveries, incorrect goods and goods damaged on delivery outside the reported time scales. Except when extenuating circumstances have prevented notification within the reported timescale. The extenuating circumstances must be by mutual agreement.

Compliance with Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment Regulations 2006 (‘WEEE’)

Provided you despatch the goods to Vertar at your own expense, and they are comparable with the product you purchase from us in replacement, we will dispose of your waste goods in compliance with the Regulations. We take seriously the need to minimise unsorted waste, promote recycling and protect public health. Please do not dispose of goods marked with a crossed out wheelie bin symbol in your domestic refuse.
