A spy shot has given a glimpse of the new Koenigsegg Regera
Swedish supercar maker releases teaser video of possible new range-topper
Koenigsegg is poised to reveal a new 'megacar' called the Regera at the Geneva motor show next month. The car has been partly spied ahead of its reveal at the Geneva motor show this week, with a picture appearing on thesupercarkids.com, while the manufacturer has shown off a teaser video on its Instagram page. The teaser video confirms the Regera will be a plug-in hybrid, as it shows an electronically operated flap opening to allow a cable to be plugged in. The parts shown off also feat a large amount of carbon fibre, while the spy shot shows a large rear central exhaust opening. The Swedish supercar maker's latest creation could well sit atop the firm's range, because the name ‘Regera’ in Swedish means to 'reign, rule or govern'.This suggests that the Regera may be even more powerful than the existing Koenigsegg One:1, which was revealed at last year’s Geneva motor show. The One:1 is so called because it weighs 1340kg and produces 1340PS (1322bhp) from its twin-turbocharged 5.0-litre V8 engine. It has a claimed top speed of 273mph.Furth

The Suzuki iK-2 and iM-4 concept cars will make their public debut at the Geneva motor show next week. Both cars have been revealed ahead of the show in leaked pictures, which show a small hatchback that appears to be slightly larger than the current Celerio, and a slightly larger SUV. The pictures were revealed on a Suzuki fans' Instagram page. Both models are already confirmed for production, with the iK-2 previewing a new B-segment hatchback, and the iM-4 offering a close look at a future rugged compact SUV.The B-segment hatchback is larger than the current Celerio, and is due to be sold from late 2016.Suzuki says the concept has been developed with the theme of ‘harmonised force' and “raises compact car values to their limit.”The second new model, the iM-4, is expected to compete in the same compact SUV territory as Ford’s EcoSport and the Vauxhall Mokka.Described as “an iconic mini 4x4”, the iM-4 will come with “distinctive styling that will give real inspiration to drivers.”Read more Geneva motor show newsGet the latest car news, reviews and galleries from
