Classic cars need constant attention, not just to the mechanical and electrical systems, but also to the exterior paint finish. Many cars sit unused for a large portion of the year and are then exposed to high levels of UV for summer motoring, where their paint can become faded quickly and attacked by burn out from insect residues and bird mess. Older single stage paint, cellulose, two-pack and paint on both metal and fibreglass needs feeding with oils to stop fading and keep it flexible.It needs protection from UV, bugs and birds, tree sap and stonechips, sunlight and scuffs. And you may well not wish to cut or compound the paint to improve colour and clarity, so the oils within British Classic and its swirl filling capability (due to high Carnauba levels) really will make a difference. Whilst it will have a greater effect on non-lacquered cars, it is entirely suitable for cars with lacquer too. Blackfire Midnight Sun Paste Wax is the final result of a five year quest by the manufacturers of Blackfire to develop a high quality carnauba wax capable of bonding properly to finishes protected with Blackfire All Finish Paint Protection. This quest originated in 2004, when the original Blackfire All Finish Paint Protection formula was revised to include a revolutionary new crystal super-polymer developed by Wacker-Chemie in Germany. Although this addition significantly improved the aesthetic quality of the finish produced by Blackfire All Finish Paint Protection, many enthusiasts still attempted to top it with their favourite carnauba wax products, and it was only then that it became apparent that this new super-polymer was too slick for wax molecules to adhere to properly.
